How to raise $500, $1,000, or more

1. Set a personal fundraising goal of $1,000 or more. Don't be afraid to THINK BIG!!
2. Start an "honor roll." Ask people to make a donation in memory or honor of a loved one.
3. Write letters and emails to your friends and family telling them about your participation in the race.
4. Ask your fellow employees. Your workplace is a great place to get sponsors and many companies match gifts to double your dollars.
5. Give a gift of a donation. If you have a birthday or anniversary coming up, ask friends and family to make a donation for that special day in lieu of a gift.
6. Host a bake sale or car wash. Have one at your office or at a local grocery store.
7. Team up with a restaurant - ask them to donate a percentage of one night's profits to a good cause.
8. Collect at your gym. Set up a display in front of your treadmill and ask people to contribute.
9. Ask local businesses to sponsor you, either with cash or raffle items.
10. Involve food! Organize a pancake breakfast, spaghetti dinner or BBQ block party.

Ask three local merchants to sponsor you for $20 each
Day Nine
Ask two businesses you frequent for $25 each
Day Ten
Ask your doctor, dentist and hairdresser for $20 each
